In French maritime slang, the "bachi" is the cap worn by sailors and petty officers in the Navy. Made from blue wool cloth, it is topped with a red pompom in the French Navy.
The model 200 — known as the Bachi — is a 16cm tuna boat. Made from beech wood sourced from Breton forests, this boat is equipped with a Bermuda-style cotton sail.
This boat was handcrafted in our Breton workshop using the same expertise and the same time-honoured techniques, passed down from generation to generation since 1946.
Sturdy and built to last, it will be by your side for life — as long as you give it the little bit of care it deserves.
Wood is a living material that reacts to water. Despite all the care taken in crafting our boats, prolonged contact with water may cause some deterioration over time. It is important to let your boat dry in the shade, away from excessive heat, after each use.
The Bachi, like its bigger brothers the Sloop and the Misainier, is a bath toy. While they are indeed designed to go in the water, without a keel or ballast they may capsize in the choppy waters of a child's bath! La main de son capitaine est alors nécessaire pour le tenir en position lors du bain.
Fair winds, sailor!
For birth gifts or any other special occasion, have the boat personalised with an engraved stainless steel plate, nailed to the back of the boat.

The "Bachi" toy boat is the perfect companion for your children's bath time!
Made from solid wood sourced from Breton forests, this toy is built to withstand the years — and the enthusiasm of little ones.
Its shape is inspired by tuna boats, the traditional fishing vessels our ancestors once used to catch… the big fish!
